House Hunting and Gas prices...Country VS City Living

I am so done with looking for houses to rent. I can't wait til the day comes when we can buy a house/ property. Then when we move it can be the final move. Also, I don't think I'm ready to move back to the city. The gas prices here are out of this world. I mean everytime I drive by a gas station and see the gas price I immediately say out loud..."they crazy as HELL!" lol. Those gas prices are ridiculous or maybe it's just ridiculous because out where we live (out in the country) gas is like 80 cents cheaper. I mean I can fill my tank up for like $22. Now that's what I'm talking about lol. I refuse to pay the city gas prices when I know there are cheaper gas prices near by.

Also....there is another thing. In the city you will have to shove out almost a grand per month (that's right $1000) for a 3 bedroom house....when in the country you can get that same house for like 6 or 750 a month. I mean if you think about it...it's kind of a no brainer lol. Country living is more economically favorable. However...there is a down side to it. Like the school disctrict and there only being one school that your child will be able to go to. They don't give you any options. Also....there is like ZERO (yes 0! ) diversity out there. I mean I am a young black woman and my daughter is black aswell (durr lol) and there has been a little raciest behavior shown to her when she attended the local Elementary school not just from the students but from he teacher aswell which is why I decided to remove her from the school and enroll her in a school in the city. I mean I know driving back and forth to take her to school is a doozy on my car and on me each day but I will do what I have to do to make sure my daughter gets the fair opportunity to learn like everyone else. Oh an yes...my daughter was not progressing in the local school because the teacher refused to work with her. Instead of teaching her what she did wrong on her school work she just decided to give her x's on all her work instead.

I'm sorry but my daughter is in the first grade and it's very crucial that she learn to read this year or she's gonna be behind and that school was not teaching her anything. But I'll tell you what....as soon as I enrolled her into the city school she started learning too quick and she actually read an entire book the other day. YES I was very proud. Why is it that she can learn in the city school but not in the school out in the country? Something fishy is going on if your ask me. Now that right there is the only reason I am even contemplating moving back to the city.
