Not Enough Time in the WORLD!!
Med Surg 1 is quickly coming to an end. All and all I have to say that I had a great experience. I was nervous about a lot of things like giving shots, passing meds, and talking to people in general lol. I know the talking and interacting part seems to be not a big deal but it is for me. I was never one to make friends easily. I was always shy. And introvert so to speak. All of the friends I have ever had came up to me first. IDK it's just Awkward talking to people and I hate making small talk. When I go to my med surg clinical I was hella nervous about that. One thing I have noticed is that in the nursing program you don't have time to be nervous or be afraid. Well that's just my opinion anyway. Before I can even really have time to trip over my nervousness I am already being thrown into my fear lol. After I am doing something it always ends up to be "not so bad" after all. I have to say though.....I have a really awesome Clinincal instructor. She is seriously the best. I think it is extremely important to have a awesome teacher who loves her job to teach someone who has little or no experience in the field. She is amazing and takes my nervousness away instantly. She's the best. She was also my Fundamental's of Nursing instructor. I am super excited that she will also be my Med Surg 2 class instructor. Unfornately I can't have her as a clinical instructor again but I'm greatful for the time I do get to have with her.
Any who...I have been a stay at home mom for the last 6 or 7 years. It was a big adjustment from being in the house with my kids all day to putting them in daycare and leaving the house everyday. Not to mention the hour drive back and forth from my school. It was a doozy. I am so happy we are moving closer after this semester is over.
Which leads me to a new update....
After a crap ton of home viewings and actually putting offers on 2 other homes we are finally coming to the end of our journey on the home buying front. We found a house and it's on 5.19 acres with a huge pond, barn with horse stalls, and garage with pig stalls on the side. It doesn't have as much land as I would have liked but it's awesome and has potential. I can'r wait to get things going and set up. We have a crap ton of painting to do and have to put down new carpet and get a dishwasher installed. I am so glad that all of this madness is taking place after the semester is over and before the next semester starts. This is too much to deal with at the same times as finals so I'm happy about that. On top of buying a house, taking care of our kids, and going to school...it has all been a stressful blur. My husband has been working his a$$ off as well. I am so proud of him and did I mention he is going to school online aswell? He's amazing.
Welp...until next time...I will update yall after the move.
