BACK from Vacations and Ready to Run....
Hey yall,
So my husband and I have been back from vacation for a little under a month. OMG!!! Let me just say that WE HAD A BLAST!!!! It was so much fun. It was much needed and it was a long vacation. We decided to go to Florida a few days before boarding the ship so we could spend 2 days at Disney. We have been to Disney before like 2 years ago with the kids but this is our first time going without them. It was awesome and I highly recommend parents or any adult for that matter to enjoy a kid free day at Disney. My husband and I went to Disney Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. We road EVERY ride (minus the baby rides). It was so much fun. Me and my husband were all over them parks lol. In the 2 days we spent at Disney we racked up 22 miles of walking. AMAZING. I wish all of them steps could have went towards earning a Conqueror Medal. I just completed the Scooby Doo challenge and the medal is awesome. My husband just completed the Great Barrier Reef challenge. I bet if we started another one before the vacation we could have earned another metal by the time the vacation was over.
Well anyways...we had a great time at Disney and we had an even better time on the cruise. It was our first time Cruising with Royal Caribbean. Usually we cruise with Carnival because they are cheaper. I have to say that the cruise ship was by far superior on Royal Caribbean and Royal Caribbean actually has big scale production shows...which I LOVE! The shows were amazing. However, I have to admit that the food on Carnival tasted way better than the food on the Royal Caribbean. I feel like all the food was lacking flavor and I was highly disappointed. There also wasn't enough food options that were included in the price. Carnival had so many restaurants included in the price. We still had a great time. Just being together for the amount of the time we were able to be together was magical. My husband is my best friend and my favorite person on the planet. We got to dress up for the theme nights on the ship. We explored each port. Unfortunately we didn't get to go on many excursions but we went shopping at every port. We didn't want the vacation to end. I take that back....towards the end we were ready to get back to our kids and our property. We really missed the kids both human and K9. Next time we won't do a pre-vacation to our main vacation like we did this time lol. We decided to drive to Florida so we had to drive back and that was a hell of a long ride lol. Next time we will most definitely be flying. I don't care the cost. Flying turns a 14 hour drive into a 4 hour flight. We could have gotten home a lot sooner.
Before we got home I was already planning the next vacation. That's right...the next cruise is already booked and the countdown begins. This time we are going on the BIGGEST cruise ship in the world. Yes another Royal Caribbean ship! We are going to book an excursion at every port and I am going to have an even bigger shopping budget lol. But one of the best parts of all is that a few months before the cruise we will be getting scuba certified. THAT'S RIGHT!!!.....ya girl is gonna be swimming with sea turtles and exploring the deep blue sea. I can't wait! I'm Hella scared and my "blackdar" (black person inner voice that tells them not to do stupid shit lol) is going off something fierce but I plan on training and learning as much as I can so I feel comfortable enough not to be terrified jumping into deep water where I can't feel the bottom when standing lol. It's gonna take a lot but I'm gonna do it. I might even start a Instagram or TikTok page about it. We shall see.
Since being back from vacation we have had to hit the ground running with the business which meant my husband had to go back over the road and I had to go back to being his dispatcher and manager of the business. Before going back on the road we took one day to recover from vacation lol so there's that. I started a new part-time nursing job too. I ended up quitting after 2 days because the business took up a lot more of my time than I realized and that on top of the kids was a bit too much. No worries though. I have decided to get a PRN nursing job so I can literally work only when I want to and it's gonna be at a place that is closer to where we live so I can cut my commute down. I am excited about that because I want to make extra money and put towards our 2 family vacations and summer activities coming up this year with the kids. I'm all about vacays and experiences these days. That is what makes life worth wild.
