Everyone Needs a HOBBY!!!

I am a very simple person. I used to think that hobbies were a waste of money and pointless. However, over the past year or so I realized that having a hobby is an outlet. I have really bad anxiety and maybe a touch of depression (I don't like admitting that part). Life is short and you don't get that many moments of happiness throughout your life. If you can find a little bit of happiness along the way then it is so worth it.

Some of my hobbies and the little things that bring me a tiny bit of happiness. These are not ranked in any particular order.

  • Gardening- I love when the spring time rolls around and it's time to start planting. We have a really awesome garden (multiple gardens actually). We enhance the garden every year and it gets better and better. Last year we had a huge tomato garden and it was a lot of work pruning and picking but it was awesome. We made salsa, spaghetti sauce, and fried green tomatoes. It was awesome. We had more tomatoes that we could handle. Last year we also had major success training our cucumbers in the main garden to a trellis. It was so awesome. I might upload so pics when I get a chance. We also trained the squash to go up a trellis and it was awesome. We also planted okra, jalapenos, egg plant, kale, cabbage, watermelon, cantaloup, sweet potatoes, celery, pumpkin (wasn't successful at all), and zucchini. I had so much fun and I can't wait to go it again. This time we are making another designated area for more veggies we gonna plant in the ground this time (our main garden is a bunch of raised garden beds). We also have a greenhouse we gonna be using this year to start our plants.

  • Making jewelry- I love making little pendants. I make interchangeable necklace pieces so I can wear the same necklace but change out the pendant by putting a clasp on it. I also like making my kids bracelets and necklaces. I like making ankle bracelets and charm bracelets as well. I don't sell them but I just might start selling them soon on etsy.

  • I like collecting snow globes, sea turtles, knives (I love hidden pocket knives), and elephant figurines.

  • I also love ALL things marvel. Artwork, light fixtures, shirts, phone cases, stickers, rugs, hoodies, car decals, airpod cases...etc.

  • I also love nerf guns, archery, collecting movies, researching/planning things and watching docuseries'' about murders.

  • My favorite hobby is going on vacay with my family (the one of my own creation)!!! Last year we went to Disney World (3 disney parks), universal studios, and seaworld. It was epic. Then 2 months later for our anniversary me and my husband took a 7 day cruise. I had such a great time. The goal is to do a family trip every year. A small one during the kids spring break, and a big one during their fall break, and a couple's vacay each year for just me and my husband. This years family trip we are taking the kids to Disneyland in California this time (last year was the one in flordia), and go to universal in hollywood to see the new Mario world exhibit. And our spring break trip is to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, GA. Our couple's trip for just my husband and myself is gonna take place in April of next year instead of December of this year like we try to plan because we are taking a 10 day Hawaiian cruise. It's gonna be so awesome. With a new cruise line. We gonna go scuba diving too. Maybe I can scuba dive with a real sea turtle. That would be so awesome. I have a lot of work to do to get physically prepared for this trip. Oh and my mom kept saying how she wish she could go on a cruise so we decided to gift her a cruise and she will be going this December. I bought her 2 tickets so she could take someone with her. Even though I don't like those certain some ones. It is cool though because its all for my mom's happiness. Which is also why we decided to take my mom on EVERY single one of our family vacations with zero expenses to her. We live like 3 hours away so this is our time to spend time with my mom. We had so much fun in Florida and last weekend we took her with us to the Sugar Factory for our eldest's birthday. I can't wait to see her again when we go to the Georgia Aquarium.
All these things keep me sane.
