My baby's first full week of 2nd grade

My daughter started second grade last Thursday and tomorrow will be the close of her first full week. So far its been going well. She's making friends and behaving really well in school. I told her all summer that she's gonna have to start taking school and learning more seriously because she's gonna have to start doing real work with actual grades and I was right.

Her teacher has like 5 things for her to do for homework every single day. I can tell that her teacher lovers her job because she really put some thought into these assignments. We spend like 3 hours after school each day doing all her homework. It's for the best. At least she is learning.

Let me tell you....helping her with her homework is a frustrating task. I mean trying to explain things to my daughter is so freaking hard. I mean if I wanted to be a teacher I would have went to college for that lol. No really I don't mind helping her because that's my job as a parent but it's a hard task lol. I love my daughter and I'm so glad she is actually understanding things and is doing better in her studies.
